General Requirements

- The academic qualification must be obtained through full-time study; qualifications obtained through distance learning, affiliation, or blended learning will not be accepted.
- Priority will be given to candidates with experience in university teaching and scientific research.
- Applicants may apply for only one position within the college, based on their academic qualifications. If an applicant applies for more than one position, the application will be considered void.
- The applicant must be medically fit for service and must pass the required medical examinations.

Specific Requirements
Required Qualification & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- MSc and Ph.D. degree in Geotechnical Engineering.
- Demonstrated expertise in geotechnical engineering and geomechanics, encompassing experimental (laboratory or field), theoretical, computational, or data-driven approaches. Research interests may include, but are not limited to, resilient infrastructure, geological engineering and rock mechanics, and geomechanics for sustainable energy applications.
- Teaching experience and interest in teaching core undergraduate and graduate courses, such as: Soil Mechanics, Foundation Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Site Investigation and Subsurface Exploration, Slope Stability and Earth Retaining Structures, Ground Improvement Techniques, Geotechnical Earthquake Engineering, Geoenvironmental Engineering, Finite Element and Numerical Modelling of Geomaterials, Constitutive Modelling of Soils, Probabilistic and Reliability-Based Geotechnical Engineering, and Soil–Structure Interaction.
- A record of research productivity, including publications in peer-reviewed journals, in related fields.
- Proficiency in relevant testing and analysis methods.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to student mentoring and engagement.
- High level of analytical and problem-solving capability, planning and organizational skills, demonstrated team working skills with a high level of cooperation with colleagues.
- Professional licensing in the area of expertise is advantageous.
